All over Alabama the lamps are off.
Due giovani amici, il reporter James Agee e il fotografo Walker Evans, sono ospiti di una famiglia di contadini mezzadri nella campagna profonda dell’Alabama. È il 1936, e sono lì per fare un reportage sulla Depressione nelle zone rurali, ma questa esperienza li sconvolge e li porta a un’immersione profonda che non si immaginavano.
Two young friends, reporter James Agee and photographer Walker Evans, are guests of a tenant farmer family in the deep countryside of Alabama. It is 1936, and they are there to report on the Depression in rural areas, but this experience shocks them and leads them to a deep immersion they had not imagined.
