Il soffio, i suoni dentro e fuori, il ritmo portatore di fervore, i luoghi delle voci, le variazioni di altezze, le lettere; tutto questo ascoltarlo con tutto il corpo, ripetere, rimuginare i testi e i canti, cominciare come dei muti, degli incapaci a parlare, a pronunciare, ri-cominciare senza tregua.
Laviamo la voce in un ruscello, la buttiamo in mezzo alla tempesta, o la riscaldiamo mettendola sotto la terra, non dimentichiamo mai il silenzio che c’è “in fondo”, nel pozzo. Decifrare il testo, parola dopo parola, frase dopo frase, lasciarsi attraversare, farlo apparire, non come degli specialisti, ma come degli idioti.

The breath, the sounds inside and outside, the rhythm which brings fervor, the places of voices, the variations of height, the letters; all this listening with the whole body, repeating, mulling over the texts and songs, beginning as mutes, unable to speak, unable to pronounce, re-beginning without respite.
We wash the voice in a stream, throw it into the storm, or warm it up by putting it under the earth, never forgetting the silence that is “at the bottom,” in the well. Deciphering the text, word by word, sentence by sentence, letting it go through, making it appear, not as specialists, but as idiots.
